Actress Kriti Sanon's Journey in the Film Industry

Early Struggles and Humiliations

Sanon recalled a particularly distressing experience during her first fashion show, where she was publicly scolded by a choreographer.

"During my first ramp walk, the choreographer was extremely rude to me because I had messed up the choreography," she shared. "My heels were getting stuck in the grass at the farmhouse venue, and it was my first time doing something like this. I was holding back tears, but eventually broke down when she scolded me in front of 50 other models."

The Importance of Having a Plan B

In addition to discussing her early struggles, Sanon also revealed that she had a "Plan B" in place in case her acting career didn't take off.

"Having a Plan B means you're passionate but not desperate, and that's a fine line," she explained.

Assuring Her Parents

To assure her parents about her career choice, Sanon even took the GMAT exam while pursuing acting in Mumbai.

"It didn't take much to convince my parents about my acting aspirations, but I did have to provide them with a backup plan. Taking the GMAT and scoring well was part of that," she said.

Kriti Sanon's accolades at the 69th NATIONAL FILM AWARDS, announced on August 24th, have certainly validated her career choices. She shares the honor with Alia Bhatt, who won the award for her performance in "Gangubai Kathiawadi."
