Actress and model Cara Delevingne, 31, has announced her decision to exit the social media platform previously known as Twitter. Delevingne is frustrated with how the company handled the recent hacking of her account.
In a string of tweets, Delevingne stated, “A week ago, my account was compromised. It took an incredibly long time for me to regain access. If you've seen posts about MacBooks or any sales-related content from this account, they’re fake. I deeply apologize.”
Delevingne further expressed her anger, stating that the hacking incident had far-reaching impacts, including scams that affected her followers. “I am incensed at how long it took the platform to restore my account. Several people were scammed due to this, and it infuriates me. To prevent this from happening again, I'm deleting my account.”
Although she’s leaving the platform in question, Delevingne reassured her followers that they can still catch up with her on other social networks like Instagram, TikTok, and Threads. “I’m still active on Instagram, Threads, and TikTok. Once again, I apologize for the inconvenience,” she added.
On a different note, Delevingne seems poised for a new career direction. She recently directed the music video for Renee Rapp’s new single 'Pretty Girls.' Reports last month suggested that she's interested in broadening her professional horizons to include feature film direction.
An insider told The Sun's Bizarre column, “After a turbulent year, Cara is now focusing more on her career. Always up for a new challenge, she’s keen on exploring her capabilities as a director. She’s been consulting with industry professionals for advice and is enthusiastic about future directorial projects.”
