Man Aims to Carry 143 Pounds of Bees to Set New World Record

A Turkish beekeeper, Abdulvahap Semo, has set his sights on a buzzing new challenge: breaking the Guinness World Record for carrying the heaviest mantle of bees.

The current record is held by a beekeeper in China who managed to carry more than 140 pounds of bees, including 60 Queens, back in 2016.

Semo's goal is to carry 65 kilograms, or 143 pounds of bees, to claim the record. So far, he has been able to get 132 pounds of bees to latch onto him.

However, he is not stopping there. Semo is continuously practicing, adding more and more bees to his body.

Past attempts were unsuccessful because, according to Semo, the bees became aggressive.

This endeavor is not just about personal achievement.

Semo also wants to promote the honey of his region in Turkey.

Achieving this feat will require the help of brave assistants and the cooperation of well over 650,000 bees.

Semo's journey towards this record is a testament to the fascinating relationship between humans and bees.

It's a story of courage, patience, and a deep respect for these small yet incredibly vital creatures.

As we watch Semo's progress, we are reminded of the importance of bees in our ecosystem and the lengths that some will go to in order to honor these amazing insects.
