OMG 2: Akshay Kumar Returns as a Deity, Pankaj Tripathi's Prayers Answered.

The much-anticipated teaser for the movie "OMG 2" was unveiled on July 11, a month prior to its theatrical release, stirring up excitement among the audience. The film, starring Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam, is set to hit the big screen on August 11, clashing with Sunny Deol's "Gadar 2" on the Independence Day weekend.

A New Avatar for Akshay Kumar

In this spiritual sequel to the 2012 film "OMG: Oh My God", Akshay Kumar dons a never-before-seen avatar as Lord Shiva. The teaser begins with Pankaj Tripathi's character, Kanti Sharan Mudgal, asserting that God does not discriminate between an atheist and a believer. Following scenes of Kanti's troubled family life, he prays to a shivling, leading to the emergence of Akshay's character from a lake. The film promises to delve into the intricate relationship between God and his devotee, much like its predecessor.

A Hint at the Plot

While the plot of "OMG 2" remains under wraps, trade analyst Sumit Kadel suggests that the film will tackle the subject of sex education. With Akshay Kumar portraying Lord Shiva, Kadel believes that the filmmakers have approached the subject with sensitivity. He also hints that while Akshay's role is an extended cameo, the film primarily rests on Pankaj Tripathi's performance.

What's Missing?

Interestingly, Yami Gautam, who is set to play a lawyer in the film, is absent from the teaser, leaving fans curious about her role in the movie.
