Amber Heard on the Pressures and Compromises of 'Aquaman 2'.
Amber Heard, known for her role in the hit superhero film 'Aquaman', recently opened up about the immense pressure and compromises associated with big-budget movies.
The actress compared her experience working on the sequel, 'Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom', with her role in the small period drama film 'In The Fire'.
The Two Ends of the Spectrum
Heard described her recent projects as representing two very different ends of the industry spectrum.
Speaking to Deadline, she said, “These are very different kinds of projects representing two very different ends of the spectrum in my industry.”
The big franchise movies, she explained, come with a ton of pressure and compromises due to the millions of dollars at stake.
The Balancing Act
The actress went on to talk about the different kinds of compromises that come with working on a small indie film like 'In the Fire', which she described as a work of art and love.
Despite the lack of resources compared to a big-budget film, Heard believes that the best luck an actor can have is to be able to balance both types of projects.
Honor and Pride in Her Work
Heard expressed her honor in being part of the 'Aquaman' franchise and the machinery behind it.
She also shared her pride in working on passion projects like 'In The Fire', where she got to know the filmmaker and the cast on a deeper level.
“There’s something cool about that, and I think success is an actor who is able to have both those things,” Heard concluded.
The Jason Momoa starrer 'Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom' is slated for release in December 2023.
