Johnny Depp, the renowned actor and member of the band Hollywood Vampires, is currently on a European tour that will eventually take them to the United States.
Following their performance in Paris on June 25, Depp, 59, took to social media to share a series of photos and a touching message for his fans. "Love seeing all your faces out on the road…thank you so much for coming to see us!!! Eternally, JD. X", he wrote.
Fans Show Their Support
Depp's post was met with enthusiastic responses from his followers. One fan expressed their support for Depp's musical endeavors over his acting career, stating, "Disney can keep their franchise, we'll support you through the music, Johnny!!".
Others expressed their excitement for the upcoming shows in the United States, praising the tour's production and special effects.
Amber Heard's Return to the Spotlight
Interestingly, Depp's European tour coincides with his ex-wife Amber Heard's own European showcase. Heard, 37, attended the 69th Taormina Film Festival in Italy to support the premiere of her film, In The Fire.
This marked her first promotional appearance since the defamation trial in Virginia last year, which ended in Depp's favor.
The Aftermath of the Defamation Trial
Depp was awarded over $10 million in damages after a jury found that Heard had defamed him in her Washington Post op-ed about domestic violence. Heard appealed the decision but decided to settle out of court at the end of 2022.
She paid Depp $1 million, which was equally distributed among several charities.
Hollywood Vampires Continue Their Tour
Despite the personal drama, Depp and his band Hollywood Vampires continue their tour across Europe. The band, formed in 2012, features Depp on slide, rhythm and lead guitar, and keyboards, as well as providing backing and lead vocals.
The tour is set to conclude in Germany on July 23rd, followed by a three-day set in the United States to make up for the canceled appearances, wrapping up on July 30th.
